The Maluku archipelago covers a tremendous amount of kilometers. Islands filled with stretched plantations of cloves, mace and nutmeg gave it the name Spice Island. Travelling to the archipelago, a traveler will discover the rugged history of the islands combined with its world-class under-water world. A day diving or snorkeling at Banda Island gives a colorful display of small and bigger sea fish living peacefully in endless coral gardens. This combined with breathtaking white sandy beaches at Ohoidertawun and Pasir Panjang, and some very sleepy villages on Lease Islands and around Pulau Seram make a visit to Maluku a memory to create.

The Seasons in Maluku

Because its proximity to the equator, seasonal weather variation in Indonesia is limited. Roughly speaking, there are two mild seasons: wet season, which runs October through April, and dry season, which runs May through September.

Maluku - Ambon Tour (4d3n)

Day 01 : Arrival Ambon

Upon arrival in Ambon you will have a transfer to the hotel in the city. Upon settled in the hotel the tour guide will bring you to visit Siwalima museum and the village of Soya village where you can see the Old church build by the Portuguese

Day 02 : Full day tour Exploring Ambon by becak and by car to North Ambon , optional Nakamura massage

After breakfast you will meet with your guide and start the tour by becak to the traditional market. The becak is a bike taxi and a common way of transport in the city. After the market visit you continue by car. You will visit the Australian Commonwealth 2nd War cemetery. An impressive site, lovely kept garden with shade trees.

You will drive to the North of Ambon to visit Fortress Amsterdam. Once built by the Portuguese at the time that the spice trade controlled over the islands. Take a short walk in the area to visit the first church of Ambon which was built by the Portuguese. A little further down the street you can also find the Old Mosque, which was built by the king of Hila.

From here you continue to Larike village and explore this cosy village and see the daily life. While passing several traditional villages you will get to Poka. Enjoy lunch and back to Ambon city. You visit the statue of local heroes Marta Christina and Pattimura Monument before you get back to the hotel.

Day 03 : Full day tour Tulehu and Pombo island visit

After breakfast you drive to Tulehu village. At Tulehu you board the boat to Pombo Island. A great place with white sand and blue water and Seram Mountains at the back drop. A fish barbeque will prepared and enjoy your lunch at the island.

In the afternoon get back to Tulehu and visit the hot spring and visit the Holy eels in Waai village. Drive back to Ambon city, back to your accommodation.

Day 04 : Module ends at the hotel , combine with other module or transfer out

The program ends after breakfast. You can choose to get back to the airport or continue with a transfer to Tulehu and board a boat to Seram or Saparua for extension modules.

Maluku - Seram Tour (6d5n)

Day 01 : Arrival Seram from Saparua or Ambon in Amahai – drive to Kairatu

Arrived at Seram island you will meet your driver and transferred you to your hotel located in Kairatu. Having late afternoon coffee at the beach of Kairatu around your hotel.

Day 02: Waterfall Rumahkay, village visit, Village trekking , drive to Masohi (lunch) , explore Amahai

Having day trip today and start by visiting Rumahkay Waterfall Continue the trip program by first visiting and exploring the beautiful natural waterfall of Rumahkay, next is explring the village of Rumahkay, the culture and etc. After that heading back to masohi city passed by Sago Plantation at Elpaputih Village, exploring the routine of local people earns living by depending of sago plantation. After that continue the trip to visit the tribes at Amahai Village. On way back masohi, stop for a while to have lunch at Julia Resto. After having lunch next is trip to exploring the tribes at Amahai.

Day 03: Drive from Masohi to Sawai ( 3 hrs) via Masihulang (bird conservations)

Having breakfast at your hotel, and when you ready your driver will transferred you to you next hotel located in Sawai. On your to your hotel, you will also do day trip.
Day trip program to visit and explore the Sawai Village. Driving for almost 3 hours finally arrived at Masihulang village, exploring the Bird Conservations, exploring the village of Masihulang and heading to Sawai Village. Arrived at Lizar Bahari Guest check in and get Lunch. After lunch take rest for a while and get ready to continue the trip to exploring the village of sawai, explore the river that people uses for washing, take shower and drink. Drive back to hotel for having some rest.

Day 04: Full day excursion Sawai , snorkeling , river trip Salawai including Sago factory , beach BBQ , Snorkeling Pulaur Raja

Today is visiting and exploring river of Salawai. Exploring the sago palm trees and see how the local people earn their life of depending of sago. After that heading to Pulau Jodoh for having Lunch (Fish Barbeque). After having lunch you will continue the trip by having snorkeling at Pulau Raja. A beautiful nice island, coming with nice underwater view. After having snorkeling, you will heading back to hotel.

Day 05: Sawai , optional snorkeling and visit Airbelanda fresh water spring

Optional snorkeling to Tebing Batu or special breakfast and visit Airbelanda fresh water spring.

Day 06: Tour ends with Drive from Sawai to Masohi ( separate quote boat Saparua or Ambon

Drive from Sawai to Masohi and take boat to Ambon and transfer from Tulehu to Ambon city
