This program focuses on exploring the east part of Bali. Starting with a stay in Candidasa, you will participate in cooking class with an insight of local life in traditional market and trekking to rice terraces and villages. Sidemen is your next stay, a charming and quiet small village that will give you the experience of authentic Bali since it is away from the hustle and bustle of touristy activity. Moving on to the eastern tip of Bali, Amed, you will see a long stretch black sand beach. This area offers dramatic sunrise view and beach entry snorkeling spots. The good days will conclude in central Bali, Ubud.

Amed Lodge is a beach-front property located in the very desirable Jemeluk Beach of Amed where you can stroll and enjoy the magnificent view of the sacred Gunung (Mount) Agung. Its most desirable location is also within close and easy reach of many good restaurants and dive centres.

Approximately 95 km from the Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport and built in 2010 with a strong affinity towards Japanese architecture and love of orientalism, the lodge was initially built by a Dutch gentleman as a family holiday home using his admirable collection of old wood and that comprises of 3 cottages (cottages Sea House – now known as Amed, Shiro – now known as Jemeluk and Dragon Fly – now known as Tirta Gangga). Day 01 : Arrive Bali - Candidasa

Arriving in Bali you will be transferred from Ngurah Rai Airport to Candidasa. On the way, enjoy the quiet street with laid back villages and Balinese temples with Mount Agung as the background before going into the formerly fishing village area of Candidasa with serene beach.

Ngurah Rai Airport - Candidasa (transfer) : 65 km / 02:00 hrs

Day 02 : Candidasa, Cooking Class with Market Visit

In the morning, meet your guide at your hotel lobby for a transfer to the local market. Here you will be able to soak up the true Bali life by helping your guide pick the right ingredients for today’s cooking program. After strolling around the bustling market, proceed to the Lezat Beach Restaurant to start your cooking session. Some cakes with the typical Bali Coffee will be served for breakfast. Together with your host, you will prepare lunch. The chef will decide what is on the menu, as some vegetables are seasonal. Learn how to cook Bali style and make sure to ask the host enough questions. Enjoy the lunch you prepared yourself and return to your accommodation after you’ve filled up your stomach.

Day 03 : Candidasa, Trekking Kastala - Tenganan

In the morning you will be picked up by driver and taken to Kastala village where you will start the walk. The walk starts by crossing a bamboo bridge. Walk up further until you cross the water irrigation channel and walk following it with the view of rice field. Continue your walk through the forest for about 1.5 hours until you arrive at Tenganan Village. Entering the village from the forest gives you more authentic sight than to do it from the parking area. Explore the village. If you're lucky, you can witness special rituals held you won't find in other parts of Bali. As you finished exploring the village, your driver is awaited you at the outside and ready to take you back to your hotel.

Day 04 : Candidasa - Sidemen

Today you will go from Candidasa to Sidemen. You will leave the relaxed vibe of seaside town in eastern Bali and welcomed by a magnificent view of Mount Agung, beautiful rice terraces, plantation and typical Balinese Villages in Sidemen. Upon your arrival at the hotel, you have free time to explore the area

Day 06 : Sidemen - Amed

Today you will go from Sidemen to Amed. You will visit Tirta Gangga & Taman Ujung on the way to destination.

Tirta Gangga

Sister temple to Taman Ujung, Tirta Gangga Water Palace is a popular destination in the east of Bali. Featuring many prolific structures, a stunning garden various pool full of vibrant fish it is a brilliant place to visit to immerse in Balinese culture, beauty and ceremony where you can leave with a cleansed soul.

Taman Sukasada

Taman Sukasada (Suksada Park) laid out in a unique and beautiful fashion that is reminiscent to the Dutch colonial period due to the architecture prominent throughout the park. When visiting the park expect a harmony between architecture and nature both preserved in a way that complement one another to create a pretty picture on a beautiful island.

Day 07 - 08 : Amed

Day 09 : Amed - Ubud

Today you will go from Amed to Ubud. On the way, you will visit Besakih Temple, Penglipuran Village, and Tirta Empul Temple.

Pura Besakih

Pura Besakih is a complex of temples that is located on the slopes of Mt. Agung in the eastern part of Bali. This landmark is the most important place on the island as it is the largest and most religiously significant temple for Balinese Hinduism. Sitting at an elevation of 1000 meters this complex of 18 separate temples, at least 70 different celebrations are held at this temple annually. The views from the temple are awe inspiring especially when combined with the spiritual tranquility that resides there.

Penglipuran Village

Located in the stunning highlands of Bali, Penglipuran Village. Well known for its historic layout and preserved culture. The grounds, covered by neatly manicured gardens, a single stone paved pathway that runs straight through the center of the village leading towards the local temple. Throughout the years, Penglinpuran has slowly evolved into community based tourism destination in order to amplify the local economy of the village. Visitors can take guided tours and learn about the history, culture and art prominent there.

Tirta Empul

Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. This site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. The springs feeds various purification baths, pools and fishponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pekerisan River. Various sites throughout the region and many archaeological relics relate to local myths and legend.

Day 09 : Ubud, Rafting Ayung River

As you carve through some of Bali’s most appealing landscape, the Ayung River provides a thrill that begins the moment you push of from the riverbanks. As you switch between Class I and II rapids, you will wind through deep valleys with cascading waterfalls and towering cliffs of prehistoric significance.
On the more leisurely stretches through tropical forests, you will see Hindu shrines that are brightly decorated on ceremonial days of prayer. Just as you think it is all coming to an end, the unpredictable Ayung River propels your raft into yet another rapid.

Day 12 : Departure

Leaving in Bali you will be transferred from Ubud to Airport. On the way you will pass rice fields and Balinese temples before finally arriving in Kuta, where Bali?s most famous beach awaits with its golden sunset.
