Early morning, wake up call for departure to the Kelimutu volcano. A short walk (30 minutes) will take you to the look-out point to wait for the sunrise. Kelimutu means Mountain of the Spirits. Known for its famous 3 color lakes: Turquoise, Brown and Black. It’s the dissolved minerals that give the different colors and these are still changing. Continue transfer to Bajawa.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, a local guide will pick you up to start a hike through traditional villages along the foot of the Inerie Volcano. You will have an opportunity to visit Bena with megalithic stones, offering and meetings places where the head of the villages decisions are still made that influences their relations with the supernatural. The traditional houses of Bena have steep high roofs of grass. Some have been rewarded with the image of a warrior with a spear, other are represented by a woman, showing who lives in the house. After the hike is time to take a rest in the Natural Hot Springs of Soa.

From Bajawa it is a few hour drives to the town of Ruteng. This is a small, Catholic city with a lively store and market district. The town is on a higher altitude resulting in a cool and pleasant climate. The city is also the centre of the local Manggarai-minority. Arrival Ruteng, check in to your hotel for overnight. A unique accommodation as you will stay with some of the local nuns.

After Breakfast at the hotel, you will have a transfer from Ruteng to Labuan Bajo. On the way, you will visit old Ruteng where you can see how people still live in a traditional way. Next stop is Cancar, from a hilltop you will have an excellent view of the spider web shaped rice fields.
Labuhan Bajo is Flores’ most westerly point, where the bay is filled with the candy-stripped sails of outrigger fishing boats and encircled by bougainvillea-festooned houses.

Start at Labuan Bajo or your previous module, you will be transferred to the harbor of Labuan Bajo, here you board a boat to cruise to the islands of Komodo National Park.
The first stop is board for Kanawa Island, continue trekking to Kelor Island, lunch on board, and continue to Menjerite for snorkeling. The boat will anchor at Kalong island. Enjoy the sunset and enjoy thousands of Bats flying out to Flores island looking for food. Overnight and Dinner on board local boat

Early Morning sail to Padar Island. It takes about 2 hours until you reach Padar island. A walk to reach the highest point of Padar and enjoy the magnificent view surrounding it. Back on Boat and continue sail. Then proceed to Pink Beach. Here is the time to discover the splendid underwater world of these rich waters (snorkels and fins are provided). Lunch on board. Back on Boat and continue sail to Komodo Island. This trip over blue tropical waters and past hundreds of small islands will take approximately 2 hours. On our visit to Komodo island, we make a walk (1 hour) with a local ranger in search of the Komodo dragons. During your visit also wild buffalo, deer, pigs, and various species of tropical birds like the Cockatoo can be seen. Return to Labuan Bajo will take around 4 hours.
