Indonesia is known for its blue oceans, stunning nature, always smiling population and exotic wildlife. It is a diverse archipelago of over 17,000 islands. The largest islands (Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok, Smaller Sunda Islands, Sulawesi, Kalimantan. Maluku and West Papua) are the best to travel to. These islands offer the country’s best panoramic breathtaking landscapes and jaw-dropping indigenous cultures.
Indonesia is a tropical country located along the equator, blessed with warm temperatures and abundant sunshine throughout the year. Unlike countries with four distinct seasons, Indonesia experiences only two main seasons; the Dry Season and the Rainy Season influenced by the monsoon winds.
The average temperature ranges between 26°C to 32°C (79°F – 90°F), with high humidity levels, especially in coastal and rainforest areas.
While the weather patterns may vary slightly between islands, the general climate remains tropical, making Indonesia a year-round travel destination.

The best time to travel in Indonesia is between April and October, during the dry season, when the weather is generally sunny with lower humidity and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for beach holidays, island hopping, diving, and outdoor adventures such as hiking and volcano visits. This period is perfect for exploring popular destinations like Bali, Komodo National Park, Raja Ampat, and Mount Bromo. While July and August are the peak months with higher visitor numbers and prices, they also offer the most stable weather. Traveling between November and March is still possible, especially for cultural and city trips, with fewer crowds and greener landscapes, although occasional tropical rain showers should be expected.
